Improv Outtakes Teaser!

The release date for “Hard Times” is AUGUST 3rd and from then on a new episode will be released EVERY MONDAY morning until all 6 episodes have spread across the land like pixie dust or sperm.

Hard Times is A-Comin’!

The summer has been filled with Hard Times so far.  First Michael Jackson died then Sarah Palin quit.  Only one of them knew where Bucharest was.

But things are going to get a little brighter come August 3rd, because Hard Times Episode 1: “Be the Rat” will be released worldwide (China doubtful) over God’s great internet.  And by God I mean Al Gore and Kevin Smith.

We are also planning a PREMIERE PARTY for episodes 1-3 of “Hard Times,” location and time to be determined (probably Brooklyn where I stay at).  But one thing’s for sure: it will be BYOB.

To whet the appetite, here’s a rock and roll video by Fantasie Rock of a song called “Hard,” a version of which is our theme song for “Hard Times: An Out-of-Workplace Comedy.”

So remember – August 3rd we premiere.  By the way, I’m kicking around slogans, how’s this one: “Get Hard!”

A Behind-the-Scenes First Look at “Hard Times”

Check out this behind-the-scenes first look at our new web series “Hard Times: An Out-of-Workplace Comedy.”  The show is about two friends in New York City who are unemployed and struggling to find work in these tough economic times. Through it all, Adam and Derek stick together as they navigate their way through everyday shenanigans, girlfriends, bad dates, gay roommates, cheap beer, and the worst job interviews ever.

I took these shots with my little Flip Video that I got for Christmas (thanks Mom and Dad) and edited it together quickly on imovie.  Mostly it’s just us messing around while filming.

We are currently shooting whenever and wherever we can, throughout the next month or two, and editing as we go.  We are going to release six episodes over the internet, a new one every week, in the summer and we shall call it Season One.  So stay tuned and keep your job.

Hard Times – Currently in Production

Stumbled upon the “Hard Times” website/blog?  Awesome!  What are you – drunk?  High on pot?  No problem!  Go through the house to the backdoor (there’s a screen there, don’t try to walk through it) and there’s a cooler out there.  We’re firing up the grill in about an hour.  And don’t hit on any of our girlfriends.

So what is “Hard Times?”  It’s an out-of-workplace comedy web series created by Michael Ferrell and Shawn Patrick Murphy.  We are currently in production, meaning that we are scrapping and scraping for time and locations to film funny scenes and putting them together to make episodes that will be about 3-5 minutes in length and 3-5 chortles in laughs.

Once we are ready to put Season One out on the internet, we’ll let you know, and you can follow the antics of two out-of-work guys as they search for jobs everyday in this tough economic climate.  And, of course, have some wacky adventures along the way.
